Center for Emergency Medical Care – Blagoevgrad is a partner in the project “Improving quality and accessibility of social health services in cross-border regions”, financed under the Program INTERREG V – A GREECE – BULGARIA 2014 – 2020, Investment Priority 9a, Priority Axis 4: with a high degree of social inclusion.
The duration of the project is 24 months.
The Grant Contract for the Implementation of a Project under the Interreg V-A Cross-Border Cooperation Program Greece – Bulgaria 2014-2020 was signed on 10.10.2017 in Blagoevgrad.
The total approved budget of the project amounts to EUR 1 125 370,50, with the budget of the Center for Emergency Medical Care – Blagoevgrad amounting to EUR 238 217,50.
The project focuses on the needs and the measures to be taken to improve the provision of health services in the restricted areas of highly specialized medical activities in the whole cross-border region by supplying 1 car for the needs of Center for Emergency Medical Care – Blagoevgrad.
The need for the delivery of a new car is present because it is directly related to the expected result of the project, namely the “Sustainability, durability and portability of the main results achieved by the project …” stems from the commitments of the management of Blagoevgrad better its activity, independently and in co-operation with other state bodies, physical and juridical persons and continuously and permanently to manage, organize and coordinate the activities for provision of medical assistance to citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria, and foreigners in the border region of the country.
When emergency situations arise, members of the crisis headquarters must be at the scene of the incident to provide logistical support, coordinate medical teams, and communicate with other emergency services.
The necessity of a car is related to the main objective of the project and the commitments of the management team of Center for Emergency Medical Care – Blagoevgrad on the implementation of the activities, implementation of the control, participation in meetings with the partners as well as for the organization and implementation of the training modules.
The durability and transferability of the activity effect are demonstrated by the clear objectives set for the Center for Emergency Medical Care – Blagoevgrad in the project to ensure preparedness for integrated Emergency Response Medical Emergency and Crisis Response and the development of emergency response coordination and cross-border cooperation.
